    The Anger Of The Gods
Last night was very scary!

I awoke from a dead sleep to the windows rattling and walls shaking. The night sky was lit up as if it were daytime, but then all went dark and quiet except for the sound of the wind blowing through the trees outside. I thought for a moment that it had been the remnants of a cruel dream. That moment was short-lived as only a moment later I could see the sky light up through the window again. I laid there in shock for a moment contemplating what might cause the atmosphere to lose it's composure so.

My train of thought was promptly derailed by an ear-piercing crack. The room was reverberating again. It suddenly occurred to me that I should not be alone in this room a moment longer. The Gods have been angered and I should make myself scarce. I yelled for my Tall Ones to come protect me, to hide me from the face of such wrath. They did not come before the sky broke again, so I began to yell, beg, and plead. The questions that kept running through my mind petrified me: "What if the Gods have found me? What wicked things would they do to me if they had any idea what I was up to?".

Thankfully, I was finally lifted free of my resting place and whisked away just as another flash of light burned the night air. Daddy hid me from the Gods and advised me to stay still, to be quiet so they would not find me. I felt safe. Soon the rumbling of the walls subsided and I was off to dream a peaceful dream.
